FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Bit of Information
Essentially I am home based visible online. I create from scratch but please use the work I have circulating on tinaflowersdesigns to help shape what you want.
How long will it take?
For bouquets, I need at least one working day to produce what you want. The more notice the better. For weddings or larger orders some time and planning will be negotiated so smoothness can be achieved.
Capacity to deliver is mostly local to Greater Manchester but I am happy to work something out with you.
Understandably its all seasonal so I am at the behest of what can be supplied at the time of year, which is still very good.
I will give you an idea of what can be gathered and what will best fit the creation. We all have a favourite flower.
How do I pay?
The type of flowers, complexity and size/quantity will usually determine the price which I will work with you via email/phone.
I have a few examples on fb but these are all flexible. Any large orders may require a deposit which I'm sure is understandable.
Creating floral designs from home is exactly what I do which is what I am, a home based florist.
Creativity comes naturally to me as does caring and striving for perfection so every creation is special, unique and bespoke.
I take inspiration from the local area naming designs after the local streets and landmarks in Heaton Mersey.
It all started with foraging in the local area where my husband and I spend a lot of time walking along the River Mersey to Sale and back. Take a couple of interesting stems and foliage home and create a bouquet. I realised that so much could be created using the greens around the garden mixed in with flowers in season.
I've always been involved in creativity having been a fashion designer for a designer now based in Dubai. Art, crafts and embroidery always excited me and something which I never faced any problems with.
Without hesitation I would always be at the centre of weddings creating floral arrangements, floral jewellery and applying henna on the beautiful brides.
Dressing brides and perfecting their hair and make up would surely raise a call up for last minute help, which I was always happy to do.
But at a recent wedding in 2016 I found myself taking the initiative and dressing the stairwell with flowers late at night followed by bouquets and other arrangements about the house. This was actually for the grooms household. Nevertheless, the crowd were impressed and grateful. The enquiries started and my husband encouraged me to set up.
Making a single bouquet for any any occasion such as a "sorry bouquet" or a "healing bouquet" is exciting because it causes me to think what I need to gather which is meaningful and true to the recipient. This is exciting and fulfilling, just as it is fulfilling flowers for a bride or groom.
Reducing the carbon footprint is something to strive for eventually sourcing the majority of foliage, stems and flowers from the garden greenhouse.
Well that's the goal.
Take a look at what I create and get in touch. I will create something meaningful for you.
